Our Staff

Our staff is comprised of many experienced professionals. Don’s daughter, Noelle Boothby, serves as Sunburst’s Vice President. She completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University, but after a few years working as a teacher, she returned to the landscaping industry she had grown up in. Her husband, Josh Boothby, also is involved in Sunburst. He worked in the field on a landscaping crew for years, but then pursued his passion and joined the Glendale Fire Department.

Don’s nephew, Mark Gabbard, is the Residential Division Manager at Sunburst. He also pursued a career in education, but after earning a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University, he also returned to the family business. In addition to creating custom full landscape designs, Mark oversees all residential design consultants and operations. He also is in charge of job scheduling and resource management.
